一起物流网从中国铁路北京局集团有限公司了解到，今天（4月18日）上午，由北京开往广州的首列时速120公里快速多式联运班列X8743次，从中国铁路北京局丰台西站驶出，预计33个小时后将抵达广州大朗站。
据了解，快速多式联运班列主要运输家具、食品、汽车配件等日用百货，根据集货就近的原则，在北京大红门货场和廊坊广阳货场等站点组织装车。与普通货物列车运行速度不超100公里/小时不同，该班列运行速度提升至120公里/小时，运输时间从原来的5到7天缩短到33个小时，货物运输效率大幅提升。据悉，班列运行初期计划每周开行5列。
