3月31日，民营商业火箭公司“箭元科技”宣布与电商平台淘宝合作，探索利用其可重复使用的运载火箭技术运送快递。项目已进入试验准备阶段，计划年内进行关键试验。据悉，“箭元科技”主要产品“元行者一号”火箭具有120立方米的货仓，可运货10吨，技术已通过多项测试。
近年来，全球太空探索尤其是美国SpaceX的“星舰”项目，在火箭可重复使用技术上取得突破，使得火箭运输从星际扩展到陆地。中国民营航天自2015年起发展迅速，箭元科技在技术上已实现重大进展。
淘宝的加入为民营火箭公司带来全新商业应用场景。2023年中国物流总额预计达350万亿元，快递业务量世界第一。火箭快递若实现，将大幅提升物流效率，为航天商业化探索新路径。
航天科普专家王君毅认为，这一设想对国家及民众均有利，可持续商业化模式对民营航天科技公司至关重要。淘宝的物流需求将激发民营航天的商业潜力，助力技术研发。
此举不仅标志着中国航天探索商业化的新尝试，也预示着未来电商物流时效的大幅提升。随着技术进步和成本降低，火箭送快递有望成为现实。
