蒸发温度与库房内温度温差的缩小，就意味着制冷压缩机制冷量的提高；当蒸发温度每降低一摄氏度，则要多耗电百分之二到三。在获得相同的制冷量的情况下，冷凝速度保持不变，有利于降低用电损耗。另外，缩小温差值有利于降低库房内贮藏食品的干耗。
