《长三角地区食品和食用农产品信息追溯》规定了长三角地区食品和食用农产品信息追溯系统建设的原则、目标、体系架构、基本要求；规定了长三角地区食品和食用农产品信息追溯的数据元和数据元目录等内容；规定了长三角地区食品和食用农产品追溯的数据共享方式、数据接口技术要求、数据结构和接口安全要求等内容。
据介绍，作为全国首个区域性食品安全信息追溯地方标准，《长三角地区食品和食用农产品信息追溯》对提升长三角区域食品安全共治水平具有重要意义。其旨在打通“数据孤岛”，形成跨省市食品安全信息追溯闭环；突破技术壁垒，提供社会公众查询服务；构建应急处置快速通道，支撑问题食品和食用农产品召回等。
