近日，国家发展改革委印发《关于做好2024年国家骨干冷链物流基地建设工作的通知》，确定第四批20个国家骨干冷链物流基地，芜湖基地成功入选。目前，我省合肥、蚌埠、宿州、阜阳、芜湖5个国家骨干冷链物流基地全部提前获批，总数居全国（前四批共86个）第2位。
芜湖以生鲜仓储集配为特色，提供肉类及生鲜生产加工、集配流通、温控仓储、公共冷链物流、全链条管理追溯等服务，总规划面积1600亩，总库容39.89万立方米，2023年冷链农产品交易量210万吨，交易额达500亿元，积极打造立足皖南区域、服务长三角的绿色肉类及生鲜保供基地，依托口岸辐射全国的冷链集散基地。
下一步，省发展改革委将会同有关市人民政府，切实推进国家骨干冷链物流基地建设，抓细抓实重大冷链设施布局、配套性功能完善、冷链物流通道建设、新业态新模式培育等重点工作，健全冷链基地、集配中心、产销两端物流设施三级冷链物流网络，促进冷链物流规模化、组织化、集群化、集约化、网络化发展，全面提升冷链物流对经济发展和民生改善的基础支撑作用。
