在日前开展的2024年江浙沪皖“三省一市”优质小番茄品鉴评优活动上，太仓沙溪镇塘桥村岳西农场选送的小番茄凭借其出色的外观品相、内在品质及果实风味获得金奖。这是继去年塘桥西瓜、黄瓜获得省级金奖之后，村里又有农产品成功“摘金”。
种植户徐国宝介绍，在番茄种植上，会施用大量有机肥，产量控制在每亩8000斤以内。“我们选择走精品路线，主要是卖礼盒装，还提供采摘服务，不进入批发市场，今年只是小试牛刀，种植面积3亩多。明年会增加种植面积，还会引入新品种。”

近年来，塘桥村以其独特的精品蔬果种植在农业发展的赛道上竞速前行，通过引入年轻种植户进行农场生产和管理，为农业发展注入新的活力；通过引入蔬果新品种，应用新技术，有效提升了产品品质；督促种植户在产品品控上下功夫，巩固和提升消费者信任度，鼓励种植户积极参加省市级评比，以竞赛“含金量”提升产品市场竞争力和附加值，力争打造精品化生产的标杆。
接下来，塘桥西瓜和新引种的香瓜也将上市，塘桥村也在设计产品新包装，打通物流渠道，增强产品的市场吸引力，提升塘桥村蔬果的品牌知名度。
