乐亭县冀东果菜批发市场（唐山市冀东果菜总公司）是农业产业化全国重点龙头企业，我省大型产地果菜专业批发市场。始建于1998年4月，当年11月建成并投入使用。市场总占地面积300亩，总投资1亿元。主要建设项目有：棚式交易大厅2座、封闭式交易大厅1座、预冷保鲜库、综合办公楼、商贸营业楼、信息收集与发布中心及大型电子显示屏、等多种功能。目前，市场培育了160多个中介组织、近3000人的经纪人队伍，联系着4万多家国内外客商，形成了一种公司+批发市场+经纪人，经纪人外联客商、内联基地和农户的农业产业化经营模式。使我县果菜种植面积由市场建设初期的20多万亩迅速发展到近68万亩，总产量达270多万吨，年上市品种达40多个，我县果菜产品的80%通过冀东果菜批发市场销往京、津、沪等全国26个省、市、区。2008年交易量、交易额分别为231万吨、21.9亿元，2009年交易量、交易额分别为231万吨、21.9亿元。 市场先后荣获 “河北省百强市场”、“河北省农业产业化经营重点龙头企业”、“农业部农产品批发市场信息联网先进单位”、农业部等九部委首批 “农业产业化全国重点龙头企业”、“全国农业产业化优秀龙头企业”等荣誉称号。
